Invite Kris to Speak
Real stories.
Honest conversations.
A different way of seeing ourselves and each other.
Kris Nolan is an author, podcast host and speaker whose lived experience of growing up with a large facial birthmark has shaped a lifetime of understanding difference, identity, belonging and what it means to become comfortable being seen.
His talks use personal storytelling, humour and reflection to open conversations that go far beyond visible difference — into the experiences that shape all of us.
-
And become about being Human.
Growing up visibly different meant learning early how it feels to be stared at, judged, misunderstood and noticed before being known. But it also became an unexpected education.
In people.
In perception.
In belonging.
In the stories we build about ourselves.
And in what can happen when our relationship with those stories begins to change.
Kris shares those experiences openly — not to tell an audience how they should live, but to create the kind of conversation that allows people to recognise something in themselves.

Kris is the author of VISIBLE — A Memoir of Difference & Being Seen and host of the Born Different — The Unpolished Podcast.
His work began with one very personal experience — living for more than four decades with a large facial port-wine stain birthmark.
But the conversations it has created have become much broader.
Because most of us know what it's like, in one form or another, to carry something that affects how we see ourselves or how comfortable we feel being seen.
That's where Kris likes the conversation to begin.
